Muffins and No More

FYI…One of Middlebury’s only coffee spots, Muffins and More, will be closing down as of April 30th! I understand that it looks like someone else has purchased the place, but I don’t know what they intend to do with it!

I never really got into their girly food lunches (not saying it was bad food in any way, just girly – like Panera Bread – good food, just girly), but they made a great coffee and muffin let me tell you!  They will be missed!

Update – According to Pam Kyle’s comment below, a new restaurant is going in to the Muffins and More building downtown…maybe an Amish style restaurant as there aren’t too many of those in these parts…

Update #2 – New Muffin N More owner, Tami Osborne, fills us in on what’s happening in the comments section of this post…sounds good!

Wow … the end of an era … I guess there’s no more reason to live on Main Street … Thank the Lord for The Crossing!

  2. Pam says:

Hey, I oughtta check how many punches are left on my punch card, before it’s too late!

  3. Pam says:

Sure enough, I had a fully punched card waitin’ to be cashed in on a free cupajoe. Cindy said the buyers are going to make it a restaurant, but she didn’t know what kind. Cool, I hope it’s a Panera … 🙂 Hey, I can dream, can’t I?)

I’ll second that dream/request Pam! Although, nothing beats the olive nut sandwich on the pretzel bread!

  5. Tammie Griffin says:

We STILL haven’t been there!! But olive nut sandwich on pretzel bread sounds interesting!!

Hi, my name is Tami Osborn. I have been a resident of Middlebury for 18 years. I recently purchased Muffins N More and will have a grand opening on May 19th. I will not be changing the current menu that is offered now for breakfast and lunch. I will only add to it since I will offer evening meals on Fri. and Sat. for 5:30-9 p.m. (Chicken Scallopine over Angel Hair Pasta, Pecan crusted Tilapia with a lemon wine sauce served with roasted asparagus, Beef Tenderloin with a Madeira wine mushroom sauce and garlic mashed potatoes etc..)and brunch on Sun. from 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. I will be closed for 2 weeks for renovations both exterior and interior. My new hours during the day will be Mon. – Sat. for 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. I will have comment cards when I open for customers to offer suggestions. I will also have punch cards for muffins and coffee. I have been a chef for over 18 years, taught cooking on Newscenter 16 from 1998-2003, published a cookbook in 2002, and was an executive chef in a French Restaurant. Cooking is my passion and my goal is to make Middlebury a place to come to enjoy the best in dining in a casual atmosphere. I look forward to meeting all of you.
